Communications

With a BA in Public Relations and a MMC in Strategic Communications, I currently serve as a Communications Coordinator at a think tank in Washington, DC. This multi-faceted position includes serving as project manager and lead copyeditor for the program's blogs and publications which includes creating project timelines, soliciting contributors, and disseminating finalized materials to grant funders, policymakers, media outlets, and the general public. I also draft communications plans and reports for funders.

 

Graphic Design/Advertising

I have been working as a graphic designer since 2009. My current job allows me to work with Adobe Creative Cloud, Drupal, and WordPress. With my previous job of 6 years, I was a design director who oversaw an average of 50 projects weekly. I enjoy logo design, layout design, and digital coloring. In addition to design, I have extensive experience consulting clients on their branding needs. I've helped launch a variety of brands including: restaurants, medical facilities, non-profit organizations, real estate agencies, and more.

Social Media

I have 10 years experience in social media marketing. In my current job, I serve in the capacity of social media manager, which includes working with other programs on current social media trends as well as creating social media calendars. Additionally, I have street team organizer experience (including a flash mob!). Lastly, I was the social media coordinator for a wellness clinic for 3 years. My design director position allowed me to include client consultations and advertising advice for a plethora of customers as well.
